How we got there: Refer to Step-by-Step Guide to Getting to the Amalfi Coast Blog Post.
Where we stayed: Palazzo Aranci
Price: €168 for 2 nights
Pros: This B&B was really close to main shopping street in Sorrento. It was about a 15min walk to the train station/main bus station. With luggage on the cobblestone, it wasn’t the easiest walk, but it was doable. Breakfast was included.
Cons: AC did not work in our room. We heard fireworks in the middle of the night, like we are talkin' 1am...not sure if that is a regular thing or if there was a special occasion happening that evening.
What we did:
On the first evening, we wandered around the streets of Sorrento. We shopped along the cutest shopping streets and of course stopped for an Aperol Spritz! After cocktail hour, we stumbled upon a restaurant called the Foreigner’s Club. This restaurant offered amazing coastal views and a delicious meal. Due to jet lag, we called it a night after dinner.
The second day we took a boat trip to Capri. This was hands-down one of my favorite experiences of our entire trip. Our tour was through Captain Ago and it was fantastic! We got picked up at our hotel and brought us to the dock. The whole trip was about 8 hours. They provided lunch, beer, and prosecco. We got to swim a few times, but I got stung by some jellyfish, so just be careful! Once we got to Capri, we had about 4 hours of free time. We took the tram to Ana Capri (~€15 for 2 round trip tickets) and wandered around/shopped/drank. We stumbled upon a restaurant called Panorama, which was off the beat and path. It had a stunning view and really fresh food, most of which was grown from their garden on the property! The boat trip was awesome, so it is a must-do when visiting the Amalfi Coast!
