Hello Friends!
I'm Maria and welcome to Backpacks & Brie! For those of who don't know me, here is the low down: I love my family and friends, I love food (any guesses on my favorite?...Say CHEESE!), and I LIVE for traveling. My passion for traveling started in college (Go Dawgs!) when I got the opportunity to study abroad in Valencia, Spain. This was one of my first trips out of the country and it truly opened my eyes to this beautiful world around me. My travel bug was born in Spain and since then I have had loved learning about new cultures, foods, and the history behind every amazing city I've traveled to.
Although I love to always explore new places, home is truly my favorite place in the world. I was born & raised in Atlanta, GA and I've lived here all of my life. I am married to the most fun-loving guy named Josh and he is seriously the best! Definitely my favorite travel buddy. Josh has taught me so much about living life to the fullest and that being spontaneous can lead to some amazing experiences. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and I love helping children learn how to communicate with the world around them. This is another passion of mine and I consider myself so lucky that I get to work with such special children everyday!
